Processed Garlic for Foot Fungus

An enzyme called allicin is released from garlic after the garlic is crushed or chopped.  This enzyme is has anti bacterial and anti fungal properties and has been shown effective in treating biofilm producing organisms (which are more resistant to traditional treatments). Along with these benefits Allicin is also good for blood pressure, preventing infections, and can possibly prevent certain cancers.

So how can you get this enzyme onto your feet?  If you start looking up garlic as a treatment for foot fungus, you may encounter many articles and warnings about it as one woman created a serious burn on her toes after applying it raw.  Its so interesting to me that one person having a bad outcome from a natural remedy gets so much attention and publicity, while many serious cases from otc remedies just don't seem to make the grade or get any exposure.  Hmmmmm.

Anyway, lets not apply it raw.  Without giving away all the trade secrets, I'll briefly explain how I made an oil infused remedy for foot fungus.  Lightly cooking minced garlic in olive oil and coconut oil creates a nice infusion that can be applied to the feet twice a day.

Olive oil is a great carrier oil, is full of antioxidants and is nourishing for the skin.  Here is an article about all the beneficial properties and qualities of olive oil.   Coconut oil, also good for the skin and carrying other oils, has been shown to have anti fungal properties.  Here is an article citing clinical evidence for the antimicrobial and anti fungal properties of coconut oil.
