Healing is all throughout the Bible.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy (1 John 3:8).  God is love, and He never wants anyone to be sick, let alone puts sickness on people to teach them a lesson.  There has been a role reversal in the minds of people who have been deceived by their enemy who is real, although defeated.  Authority has been given to believers over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) and the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside of us.  Carlie Terradez says, “sickness is the devil’s biggest lie.”  

The history of modern medicine and its origins are quite nefarious, and there are many articles written about it like this one.  This is one of many sources explaining how some business people decided to corner the market, oust holistic medicine, and re-create a curriculum in medical schools that would train people going into the medical field.  Rockefeller, an oil tycoon, is credited with founding “Big Pharma” and some say he also founded the American Cancer Society after it was discovered the petroleum based drugs he was manufacturing were causing cancer.  Meanwhile the natural remedies that had been used for years were now deemed “alternative.”

“Nearly 99% of pharmaceutical feedstocks and reagents are derived from petrochemicals. Petrochemicals are used in the production of various medicines, including analgesics, antihistamines, antibiotics, antibacterials, rectal suppositories, cough syrups, lubricants, creams, ointments, salves, and many gels.”

“Petroleum-based drugs have been linked to cancer in some contexts. For example, a recent report highlighted that generic cold medicines may contain benzene, a known carcinogen, which can cause leukemia or lymphoma.”

Medical error is the 3rd leading cause of death in America, by the way.

Pharmakeia means drugs, and sorcery or witchcraft.  

“People dying from pharmaceuticals is a significant issue, with more than 100,000 individuals dying each year from properly prescribed medications in the U.S.  This problem is so severe that it is considered the fourth leading cause of death in the country.”

But worse than getting away from natural remedies, and being led in the direction of toxic substances, we’ve been led away from walking in divine health, and we’ve been led away from the Healer, Jesus.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Healing hasn’t mysteriously disappeared, but may be hidden from us in plain sight by a slight of hand or a great deception that we have fallen for.  

In Matt. 8 a leper bravely approaches Jesus to be healed, and says if you will, I can be clean.  In the Wuest translation Jesus’ response is, “I am desiring it from all my heart.”  What a loving response.  This word “will” when you look it up in Strong’s Lexicon explains that in this scripture it is more than just a casual desire.  It is a delight and an absolute resolve and much more. 

When you start to research healing in the Bible, you began to realize that God is truly good all the time.  Never does He once turn anyone away from being healed, nor does He ever put sickness on anyone to teach them a lesson.  That would be the mark of an abusive father.  Can you imagine trying to teach your child a lesson by giving them a disease?  No you can’t, so why would you think that your perfect Father in Heaven could be culpable of such a crime?

The devil has people deceived into thinking that sometimes God’s will is for us to be sick, and we can turn to pharmakeia (the devil) to be healed.

Not only is this a great deception, but it is INVERSION of the truth.  This is the biggest role reversal of all time.  The one who is causing the harm (the devil) has people running to him (the devil) for help, and blaming their Healer for the problem.  That sounds like evil to me.  

God is not in control.  God is sovereign (He is above all and doesn’t have to ask anyone permission for anything) but He doesn’t control everything and everyone or else everyone would be saved as the Bible clearly states that is His will.  He gave man dominion over the earth, and when man gave that away to the devil God came in the form of a man, Jesus, and took it back.  Unlike men, God doesn’t go back on His Word, so the jurisdiction of earth is left to man.  And He didn’t leave us here helpless, but gave us authority over all power of the enemy, including sickness and disease, as we walk in HIM.  He gave us power of attorney to use His Name, because at the Name of Jesus EVERY knee must bow, He gave us His Holy Spirit, and He gave us His Word.

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that lives in you. 

The devil is BAD.  He comes to steal (your health), kill (you), and destroy (your spirit, soul, and body).

John 10:10 The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus is GOOD.  He came to give us abundant LIFE.  

1 Thes. 5:23  May the very God of peace  sanctify you completely. And I pray to God that your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God wants us whole in our spirit, soul, and body.  Healing is ours, just as salvation is ours if we will believe it and receive it.  

The word PLAGUE used in the Bible according to Strong's:

μάστιξ mástix, mas'-tix; probably from the base of G3145 (through the idea of contact); a WHIP (literally, the Roman flagellum for criminals; figuratively, a disease), plague, SCOURGING.

Isaiah 53:5 By His stripes we are healed.

Matt. 8:17 “He Himself took our infirmities

and bore our sicknesses.” 

1 Peter 2:24 “By His wounds you were healed.”

The early church was most certainly more attuned to their right to walk in divine healing, as well as the great commission to lay hands on the sick so they will recover (get back what is theirs which is health).  

As we are in a spiritual battle, it should not be a big surprise that the vigilante devil, who legally has no right to any Christians’ body now that Jesus has defeated him, has perpetrated this great deception. Most Christians today are not aware of their rights, and the authority that has been given to them by Jesus over all the power of the enemy, including sickness and disease.  People beg God to do something, while He has told us to do something and given us all we need to do it.  Jesus showed us how to lay hands on the sick and heal them, without ever begging God for anything.  He commanded people to walk, told devils to go, and rebuked sickness.  He told us if we tell a mountain to move and believe that the words we say will happen, we will have what we say.  

People are waking up and thanks to the great teachings of people like Andrew Wommack, Curry Blake, and Carlie Terradez, Christians are becoming believing believers again, taking the Great Commission to heart and doing it.  The Bible talks about renewing our minds to the Word of God so we can understand who we are in Christ and what we have.  

Philemon 6 …that the sharing of your faith may be most effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you from Christ Jesus

People are being healed, walking in divine health, and raising the dead- yes the dead are being raised.  I believe we are going to see more and more of this as we are coming to end of the last days.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and we are the body of Christ.  Let’s do our job and start putting the devil, who is our enemy, where he belongs- under the feet of our GOOD and perfect Lord and Savior.
